You are located in the oldest restaurant in the picturesque Demänovská Valley. Due to its small size and age, it offers a unique atmosphere that cannot be imitated even by the best architects. Its story began in 1922 (Resort at Povolných). In 2022, we started celebrating its centenary. The establishment has survived several historical events, wars, totalitarian regimes, and multiple owners. In 2008, Richard Tomáš took over the operation and has been managing it ever since. In this stage, we focus on a fusion of tradition, honest craftsmanship, modernity, art, and above all, unconventional connections. Perhaps the best example is that our restaurant also serves as an established jazz club where many significant artists have performed, and it hosts interesting cultural events. The old part of the cottage (Koliba traditional area - adults only) breathes history, complemented by an exhibition of paintings, an old piano, and the original low ceiling. The capacity is for 30 guests. At the turn of 2017/2018, we launched a new section of the restaurant (Nature view restaurant - concert area), increasing its capacity. The new space is situated by the Demänovka River, with a beautiful view through a 20-meter-long glass wall. The capacity is approximately 60 people (seated) and 52 people (concerts).
